We think it's a bit of a shame that its published only in French at the moment, as an English version of it would go down an absolute storm here at Newsstand for one very good reason. We love books. Mind you, we believe that everybody should love books. There's nothing quite like a good book to offer you a little world to escape into, free from all the stresses that dominate out busy modern life. The chance to find a comfy spot on the sofa and lose ourselves into a different world is always welcomed, and we don't really mind what form the literary portal takes, as long as it's a good book. That's part of the reason why we love magazines so much. After all, what is a magazine but a shortened, topical, themed books? Sure, most magazines lack characters and plot but they nevertheless represent the chance to absorb yourself into a different world for a little while and enjoy reading about what you want to. Le Magazine Litteraire therefore represents the best of both worlds - a magazine devoted to books, now to brush up our French.
